Dr. Jimenez and his wife are the proud parents of 3 children. He is fluent in both English and Spanish
and has been in a private practice setting over 13 years in the treatment of
musculoskeletal injuries. He is experienced in electrodiagnostic medicine, pain
management and rehabilitation services. He is also experienced in
interventional cervical and lumbar spine injection therapy including epidural
steroid injections, facet/medial branch blocks, and SI joint and hip joint
injections under fluoroscopy. He is particularly interested in the conservative
care of cervical and lumbar acute and chronic spine management. Dr. Jimenez
enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels, along with golfing and
tennis when time is available.

Dr. Pitts lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, a Pediatrician, and their daughter. His son and daughter-in-law live in Carrboro. He speaks a little Spanish and knows how to say "hello" in about ten languages. Prior to joining CCOA, he has been a physician for 33 years. He was a General Practitioner for three years in the United States Public Health Service in Alberta, Virginia. He was the only Orthopaedic Surgeon for South-West Texas and Northern Mexico for a 150 mile radius around the city of Del Rio, Texas for four years. He has practiced medicine in the City of Medicine, Durham, for the last 20 years. Dr. Pitts enjoys working out, scuba diving, snorkeling, walking, reading, bicycling, talking to people, roller-skating, and dining out.
